he visual language for Music Hall began with the experience of arriving at a classic theatre: ornate arches, warm gold detailing, deep red curtains, poster cases, brick walls, a ticket booth, and the sense of anticipation that exists before a performance begins.
Rather than treating the stage as a neutral concert backdrop, I wanted the setting itself to celebrate the idea of live entertainment. The design placed the performers inside a stylized theatrical environment, using a series of nested proscenium arches to create depth and focus the audience’s attention toward the centre of the stage.
The outer structure combined gold-painted architectural elements with brick walls, framed posters, and decorative lighting. A smaller inner proscenium created an additional layer of depth around the central performance area, while red drapery added warmth and helped reinforce the visual connection to traditional theatre interiors.
A ticket booth was incorporated as a featured scenic element, extending the theatre-world concept and providing an additional architectural focal point. The stage picture was carefully planned to remain flexible, with moving legs and modular scenic units that could shift while preserving the overall visual identity of the environment.
The project included concept development, 3D visualization, front and top-angle renderings, scenic elevations, a movement plan for the legs, and detailed build drawings for the arches, upstage proscenium, and downstage proscenium.
