About Set Crafters
Set Crafters exists for the people behind the worlds audiences see on stage.
The designers. Builders. Painters. Carpenters. Props makers. Technicians. Artists. Problem solvers. And everyone else who somehow turns an empty stage into something extraordinary.
We’re here to give theatre makers a place to showcase their craft, discover each other’s work, find opportunities, share resources, and connect with the people who understand what they do.
Long before SetCrafters.com, there was a Facebook group.
What began as a place for set designers and builders to share ideas grew into a huge international community of theatre makers helping theatre makers.
People shared their work. Asked how something was built. Traded techniques. Solved problems. Celebrated great designs. Helped newcomers learn the craft.
Set Crafters grew out of that same idea:
What if we gave this community a place built specifically for us?
Theatre people create incredible things, and too much of that work disappears when the curtain closes.

Platforms. Props. Scenic pieces. Materials. Equipment. That oddly specific thing somebody spent three days building that another theatre suddenly needs six months later.
The Set Crafters Marketplace gives the community a place to buy, sell, give away and reuse what we already have.

Set Crafters isn’t here to replace the community that came first. It’s here to build on it.
