1. The service
Set Crafters provides tools for theatre makers to create profiles, portfolios, and resumes, discover work, post or browse jobs, list or browse marketplace items, and communicate with other members. Features may change as we improve the product, especially during beta.
The legal operator is Stolz Productions (Ontario, Canada). The customer-facing brand is Set Crafters.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- During closed beta, access may be limited to invited or approved users.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, project descriptions, resume entries, listings, messages, and similar materials). You grant Set Crafters a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the service (for example showing your public portfolio on the site).
You represent that you have the rights needed to post your content, including permission for people appearing in photos when required, and that your content does not infringe others’ rights.
We may remove or restrict content that violates these terms, applicable law, or community standards, or that creates risk for the platform or other users.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post illegal, fraudulent, harassing, hateful, or knowingly deceptive content
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation, credits, or listings
- Scrape, spam, or abuse messaging, job applications, or marketplace inquiries
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data
- Use the platform to sell prohibited goods or services, or to solicit payment outside supported flows in a way that circumvents fees where those fees apply
We care about the safety and tone of the Set Crafters community, including related spaces we host or moderate (such as official social media groups). Conduct that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful — whether it happens on this website or elsewhere — may lead to removal from the service.
5. Memberships, fees, and payments
Some features may require a paid membership or a one-time posting fee. Prices, plan features, and fees are described on the Member Plans page and may change with notice. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe’s applicable terms.
Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable once charged. Subscriptions renew according to the plan you select until canceled. You can manage plan changes from your account where available.
During closed beta, paid features may be provided without charge under a temporary entitlement policy. Beta access does not guarantee future pricing or continued free access after beta ends.
6. Jobs and marketplace
Set Crafters is a venue for discovery and connection. We are not an employer, staffing agency, or party to hiring or sales agreements between users. Job posts, applications, marketplace listings, and private arrangements are between the users involved. You are responsible for complying with employment, tax, consumer, and other laws that apply to your activity.
7. Third-party services
The service may integrate with third parties such as Stripe for payments and email providers for transactional mail. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stolz Productions disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific outcomes from using the platform (including getting hired, selling items, or receiving applications).
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stolz Productions and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Stolz Productions against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason we consider appropriate. That includes, without limitation: violations of these terms; unpaid fees; fraud or abuse; risk or legal exposure; discontinuation of the service; and conduct on or off this platform that we believe is harmful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise incompatible with the Set Crafters community — including behaviour in related social media groups, forums, or other spaces associated with Set Crafters or Stolz Productions.
We are not obligated to provide a warning, explanation, or appeal. If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your content and paid features, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits).
12. Changes
We may update these Terms of Service. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and may provide additional notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where prohibited by law.
